About Single mode fiber SMF G657A1 type:
Single mode G657A1 fiber is a type of single-mode optical fiber designed to bend easily without losing its signal.
It is officially called a "bend-insensitive" fiber because it can handle tight turns around corners and inside small boxes.
Mode Field Diameter (MFD): 8.4 to 9.2 μm
Cladding Diameter: 125.0 ± 0.7 μm.
Wave length: 1310nm / 1550nm
Smaller radius bend:
- 10 mm Radius Bend: Wrapping the fiber one full turn around a 10 mm radius cylinder limits maximum signal loss to 0.75 dB at a light wavelength of 1550 nm. At 1625 nm, the maximum allowed loss is 1.5 dB.
- 15 mm Radius Bend: Wrapping the fiber 10 full turns around a roomier 15 mm radius limits maximum signal loss to 0.25 dB at 1550 nm and 1.0 dB at 1625 nm.
Light Wave Speeds: It transmits best at 1310 nm and 1550 nm light wavelengths.
High-speed transmision function: It easily carries modern data speeds of 100G, 400G, and 800G.
Long transmission distance: upto 120km
